热学性能 thermal performance
the normal temperature of quartz glass is 1350℃,the softening point is 1750℃.quartz glass small thermal expansion coefficient, 5.5 x 10-7 / ℃, only 1/12 ~ 1/20 of common glass. the department standard sample to burn up to 1200 ℃ after rapid into cold water, repeated more than three times the crack is not permitted.
石英玻璃的可以在1350℃温度中正常工作，软化温度为1750℃。石英玻璃的热膨胀系数小，为5.5×10-7/℃，只有普通玻璃的1/12～1/20.部标准规定将试样灼烧到1200℃后急速投到冷水中，反复三次以上不允许炸裂。
光学性能 optical performance:
the special light performance of quartz glass is it can through far far-ultraviolet rays,it’s the first one material in ultraviolet rays .it also can through visible light and near infrared spectrum, small thermal expansion coefficient, good chemical stability, bubble, stripes, uniformity, birefringence can be rivalled with general optical glass, so it is working in various harsh situation with high stability coefficient of optical essential optical material.
石英玻璃的光学性能有独到之处，它既可以透过远紫外线，是所有紫外材料最优者，又可透过可见光和近红外光谱，热膨胀系数极小，化学稳定性好，气泡、条纹、均匀性、双折射有可与一般光学玻璃媲美，所以它是在各种恶劣场合下工作具有高稳定度光学系数的必不可少的光学材料。
化学性能chemical performance:
quartz glass belong to acid material ,except hydrofluoric acid and thermal phosphoric acid to any other acid are characterized by inertia, is one of the best acid material.alkali and salt at room temperature on the degree of corrosion of quartz glass is minimal, so do not rule out using quartz glass in these reagents.
石英玻璃属酸性材料，除氢氟酸和热磷酸外，对其它任何酸均表现为惰性，是最好的耐酸材料。在常温下碱和盐对石英玻璃的腐蚀程度也是极微的，因此不排除在这些试剂中使用石英玻璃。
机械性能:mechanical capacity
the mechanical properties of the quartz glass is better than hard glass and ceramics, only brittleness is poorer. the theoretical calculation of strength of the quartz glass is very high, which is about 24 x 103 mpa, but the actual measured intensity lower than this value dozens of times.the main factors influencing the strength of the first is the surface of the glass defects, especially the micro cracks on the surface of the size and depth of influence is most obvious, fine grinding of quartz glass specimen is larger than that of coarse grinding, the flexural strength increased about 0.6 times;followed by the internal defects, such as bubbles, impurities, uneven melting and residual stress.the strength of the quartz glass with increases with the rising of temperature, the annealing temperature near the end of the peak.
石英玻璃的机械性能比硬质玻璃和陶瓷都好，唯脆性较差。石英玻璃的理论计算强度很高，约为24×103mpa，但实际测得的强度要比这个数值低数十倍。影响强度的主要因素首先是玻璃的表面缺陷，特别是表面微裂纹的大小及深度影响最为明显，细磨的石英玻璃试样比粗磨的试样，其抗折强度约增加0.6倍；其次是内在缺陷，例如，气泡、杂质、熔化不均以及残余应力等。石英玻璃的强度随着温度的升高而增加，接近退火温度时达到最大值。

使用须知：use the information:
1.石英玻璃制品是贵重的材料，使用时必须轻拿轻放，十分小心；
(1)quartz glass is the valuable material, when using, must take put down gently, be careful
2.各种石英玻璃都有一个最高使用温度，使用时不应超过此温度，否则会析晶或软化变形；
(2)all kinds of quartz glass has a highest use temperature, should not be more than the temperature when using, otherwise it will crystallization or softening deformation
3.需高温使用的石英玻璃，使用前必须擦拭干净。可以用10%的氢氟酸或洗液浸泡，然后用高纯水清洗或酒精处理。操作时应戴细线手套，不允许用手直接触及石英玻璃；
(3)if use at high temperature of quartz glass, must be wiped clean before use.can use 10% of hydrofluoric acid or lotion soaked, and then clean with high pure water or alcohol.thin gloves should be worn when operating, don\'t allow direct hit a quartz glass by hand
4.高温下允许连续使用石英玻璃制品，这对延长石英玻璃的寿命和提高耐温性能是有好处的。反之，高温下间歇使用石英玻璃制品，其使用次数是有限的；
(4)continuous use of quartz glass products, permitted under the high temperature for prolonging the life of the quartz glass and improve the heat resistance performance is good.conversely, intermittent use of quartz glass products under high temperature, its use is limited.
5.石英玻璃材质虽具有极高的热稳定性，可以经受剧烈的温差骤变。但实际使用时，由于残余应变和产品形状不同，热稳定性有一定的差别，使用时应加以注意；

6.石英玻璃系酸性材料，高温使用时严格避免同碱性物质（如水玻璃、石棉、钾钠的化合物等）接触，否则将大大降低其抗结晶性能。
